ABOUT ACCESS TO THE EVENT
Is the experience suitable for children?
The experience is open to visitors aged 8 and older. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Additionally, a parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver before entering the experience. Children under the age of 8 will not be admitted under any circumstances.
Is it possible to sit during the experience?
Yes, the experience is fully accessible, but specific guidelines and options apply to ensure your safety and protect our technological equipment:
Floor Weight Limit (VR): Wheelchairs (both manual and motorized) are permitted on the free-roaming tracking floor, provided the combined weight (device + user) does not exceed 500 lbs, as heavier loads can damage our floor-mounted sensors.
Options for Motorized Wheelchairs over 500 lbs: If your mobility device exceeds this weight limit, you will not be able to access the tracking floor. Instead, you have two options:
Transfer to one of our manual transport wheelchairs, provided on-site free of charge.
Choose ""Movie Mode"": an edited, seated 360-degree immersive documentary version of the experience that lets you discover the space station without the interactive elements.
Guests requiring a companion: To ensure proper guidance and a better experience, companions are strongly encouraged to join you in the virtual reality component so you can share the universe together. One companion is entitled to free admission.
Guests attending alone: During the virtual reality experience, we can activate a slightly larger virtual protection radius around you. This visual cue helps other visitors respect your personal space while in VR.
Is the experience accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, with certain conditions. The experience is outfitted with ramps, and all entrances and exits are designed with a wide enough space for manual wheelchairs, canes, walkers, or alternative manual mobility devices.
Is it possible to wear eye glasses?
While the use of contact lenses is highly recommended for an optimal experience, the VR headset can be placed over your eyeglasses. According to official documentation from Meta, it is recommended that your glasses measure 142 mm or less in width and 50 mm or less in height. Anything larger will likely have trouble fitting comfortably inside the Meta Quest 2 headset. Please note that we are not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of the VR headset over personal eyewear.
Do you offer carer / companion tickets?
Guests requiring assistance throughout this experience are entitled to apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker.
For this experience, simply show proof of needing a carer ticket at the entrance and the carer will be allowed in for free.
What age group is the experience for?
Space Explorers : THE INFINITE is perfect for families with children aged 8 and older. Children under the age of 8 will not be admitted under any circumstances, as VR use is not recommended by manufacturers; this policy includes infants in baby carriers. Children between 8 and 12 years old will have the opportunity to experience the project either in augmented reality with a tablet or in virtual reality with a Meta Quest 2 headset. However, they can only use the Meta Quest 2 headset if an accompanying parent or legal guardian signs a waiver beforehand acknowledging the risks. All children between 8 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the accompanying adult will not be able to actively supervise or assist the child while both are wearing VR headsets.
